Italy vs USA: Macitynet.it does unfair hot-linking to Engadget.com pictures during iPod Touch event!
categoria: apple, english, incroyable
I think it’s a shame!
Someone should apologise to Engadget.com for Macitynet’s unfair hot-linking to Engadget.com pictures of iPod Touch event @Moscone Center in San Francisco (here’s the full-coverage on Engadget.com).
Here’s the proof of hot-linking.
I’ll give you an idea of what Macitynet is: a news site dedicated to Apple-made and Apple-related technology products. It’s the most visited web site in Italy for Apple & Mac fans. It’s a big player in Mac news sites market in our little country (Italy, if you didn’t get it). Even Apple has got banner ads throughout Macitynet.it pages.
So what did Macity do?
Hot-linking to Engadget.com pictures without even mentioning what’s the source of those wonderful photos of Steve’s presentation… It’s unfair, isn’t it? And it floods with requests the BlogSmithMedia powered Engadget server!
Come on Macity, write a line to Engadget authors and backlink to their wonderful blog (even if it doesn’t need it).
